Each year this cuvée reflects the typicity of the vintage. Smooth, gourmet and spicy, it is a wine which can be consumed in its youth but which can be also kept for 3 to 5 years.
A red wine always fruity, with a good lenght in the mouth and a potential of keeping not to be neglected. Beef, lamb, duck and mushrooms are its favourite companions.
On the nose, the black fruits are marked. On the palate, the alliance of the red fruits and black fruits makes this wine the little brother of the cuvée Vieilles Vignes.
To be served between 12° and 14°C.
A selection of grapes bought from wine-growers (45 years old vines) with whom we work every year. These plots are all within the Saumur Champigny appellation on clay-limestone and siliceous clay soils. 100% Cabernet franc – pruning Guyot Val de Loire.
The harvest is 50% manual and 50% mechanical. The grapes are destemmed and put in stainless steel vats. Then, the maceration will be carried during 10 days, between 22° and 25°C to preserve the fruit.
